Khary Henry

Khary Henry

President

Khary Henry is the President of the non-profit organization Scientiae and a co-founder of Young Engineers Tallahassee, a local STEM enrichment program. He is the son of Jamaican immigrants who have made Tallahassee their home for over fifty years. His father was a local Pediatrician, who was the first black pediatrician in Tallahassee. Having received a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Stetson University.

After completing his degrees, Khary has become a well-known figure in the community. Khary’s passion for STEM education led him to co-found Young Engineers Tallahassee, which focuses on teaching engineering design to students in grades K-12, providing them with the necessary digital competencies to succeed in a STEM career. He also co-founded Scientiae to promote STEM education further and encourage the development of a new generation of engineers and technologists in the Big Bend community. Through his work with these organizations, Khary is committed to promoting innovation and creativity in the community and helping to establish Tallahassee as a hub for technology and innovation.

Kasimu Henry

Kasimu Henry

Senior Vice President of Strategy

Kasimu Henry is a lifelong resident of Tallahassee and the son of Jamaican immigrants who have lived in the city for several decades. His father, a local pediatrician, has made history as the first Black pediatrician in Tallahassee. Kasimu received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Stetson University.

Kasimu co-founded Young Engineers Tallahassee and Scientiae, a STEM enrichment program that teaches engineering design concepts to grades K-12. He is passionate about developing the Big Bend into a technological and scientific hub that will bring about tomorrow’s tech and scientific advancements

Cherrelle Lawson

Cherrelle Lawson

Senior Vice President of Community Engagement

Cherrelle Lawson has been a resident of Tallahassee for almost a decade, originally hailing from Savannah, Georgia. She received her bachelor’s and two master’s degrees from Florida State University and Florida A&M University.

As a co-founder of the STEM enrichment company, Young Engineers Tallahassee, and nonprofit Scientiae, Cherrelle is passionate about equipping K-12 students with digital skills to create a skilled local workforce for the future. She has a deep-seated commitment to education and ensuring that the next generation is prepared to succeed in a world increasingly reliant on Artificial Intelligence.

Quentin Knight Baker

Quentin Knight-Baker

Vice President of Budget and Finance

Quentin Knight-Baker is from Tallahassee, Florida, and graduated from Florida State University in the Spring of 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting & Finance.

Quentin began his post-college career with J.P. Morgan in New York City as a Credit Risk Analyst focused on Banks & Broker-Dealers. Unexpectedly, his mother’s health began to decline leading Quentin to resign to assist and spend time to say goodbye.

Quentin is grateful to continue his career with Capital City Bank in Tallahassee as a Credit Specialist focused on Commercial Underwriting. In this role, he uses his passion for finance to help assess the credit risks associated with potential additions to the bank’s portfolio and existing relationships.

Outside of his day job, Quentin is an author and the founder of Instabiz LLC, a business consultancy, and an avid reader of books on business, history, and personal development.
