Khary Henry is the President of the non-profit organization Scientiae and a co-founder of Young Engineers Tallahassee, a local STEM enrichment program. He is the son of Jamaican immigrants who have made Tallahassee their home for over fifty years. His father was a local Pediatrician, who was the first black pediatrician in Tallahassee. Having received a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Stetson University.
After completing his degrees, Khary has become a well-known figure in the community. Khary’s passion for STEM education led him to co-found Young Engineers Tallahassee, which focuses on teaching engineering design to students in grades K-12, providing them with the necessary digital competencies to succeed in a STEM career. He also co-founded Scientiae to promote STEM education further and encourage the development of a new generation of engineers and technologists in the Big Bend community.
